Ten years had passed, and Sarai was tired of waiting for God's promise. She decided to take matters into her

own hands and gave her Egyptian maidservant, Hagar, to Abram to have a baby. This 'good idea' caused a

massive disaster! Hagar was treated harshly and ran away into the deadly desert. But the Angel of the Lord

found her there. She became the very first person in the Bible to give God a name: 'El Roi' (The God Who

Sees Me). Today we explore the danger of impatience, the reality of running away, and the comfort that God

always sees us.
