Rosalind Cowl by Fiona Ellis
Inspired by traditional Nordic patterning, this cowl is not only a fabulous accessory piece for your Rosalind sweater, it’s a great learning piece for colour work. Spice up your winter with a cozy accessory, choose your colour palette and design placement for your unique take on this design.
Finished Measurements:
31 ins / 79 cm around (circumference)
11 ½ ins / 29 cm high (depth)
Materials:
We used River City Yarns Epic; 191 m / 212 yds per 100g ball, 100% virgin wool.
MC: 500 Royal Red (approx 75g)
Colour A: 100 Ivory (approx 60g)
Colour B: 200 Coal (approx 75g)
Colour C: 700 Harvest
Note: The cowl is designed to only have colourwork on the outside and a one-colour (plain knit) for the inner layer. If working the cowl in stranded colour work throughout, more yarn may be needed.
Note: River City Yarns Epic Yarn has been discontinued. For substitutions, we recommend Cascade 220 which is also a 100% Peruvian wool, for the closest fibre match. Alternatively, Berroco Ultra Wool or Rowan Pure Wool Worsted would also be good matches if you would like a superwash wool substitution.
