Benedetto Marcello: „Sonate a-Moll“

Auch in dieser Sonate ist die Continuo-Stimme für den Kontrabass zu einer eigenständigen Gegenstimme umgearbeitet worden, so dass sie für den Bassisten interessanter, aber gleichfalls anspruchsvoller wird, und die Sonate mehr den Charakter eines Duos annimmt.

In this sonata, too, the continuo part for the double bass has been reworked into an independent counterpart, so that it becomes more interesting for the bass player, but also more demanding, and the sonata takes on more of the character of a duet.
