Initial teaching from Tom

A participant shares a verse from Sadhanai Saram (The Essence of Spiritual Practice) verse 15 "Grace alone is of prime importance..." and tells Tom that it helped them to surrender but that feeling doesn't last for long. They are exhausted by all their doing in the world and wonder why they are resistant to resting longer in the peace of the Self.

A participant tells Tom that they used to have a very strong passion for spiritual seeking but this has mostly fallen away and their desire for worldly things has arisen again. Their seeking hasn't completely fallen away though and they have tried a few different Self-Enquiry methods and are getting frustrated. Tom gives a response and the participant asks for guidance with Self-Enquiry.
