UK Edition: Positive Notes Home: Good News Phone Call Script, SEND, KS4 and Post-16

Free good news notes and a phone call script, so every pupil gets a positive message home and not just the ones who are easy to praise.

What's included

• Printable good news notes with fill in lines, such as "Big step today", "Bounced back" and "Used their words"

• Quick notes for older pupils

• A short script for a good news phone call

• Class tracker so no pupil gets missed

• Tips for writing specific praise

How I use it

I keep a stack of notes on my desk and aim for a few a day. The tracker shows me who I have not contacted yet, which is usually the pupil who needs it most. For families who mostly hear from school when something has gone wrong, a two minute good news call changes the next conversation.

Good for KS1 to KS4, SEND and pastoral teams.
