12 MORE Days of Baubles Part 2 features four more quick and fun bauble cozies perfect for gifting or decorating your own tree. A variety of techniques ensures that you can use this pattern on all the yarns in your advent set, whether they be speckled, solid, variegated or striped.  No advent set?  No worries!  Use leftovers of any fingering weight yarn.  Your Baubles will be beautiful.

Day 17 is a ribbed cozy which is designed to be your swatch project. For best results, it should be worked first. If you find that the row or stitch gauge is off, or you do not like the fabric that is produced, adjust your needle size to knit the remaining bauble covers.
Day 18 has a simple geometric lace motif on a stockinette background.
Day 19 features a favorite winter motif- the snowflake.
Day 20’s adorable owl cables will have you hooting with delight.

These bauble covers are designed to fit a 2.25 to 2.63" / 57 to 67 mm diameter plastic ornament. 

For a few rounds, you will be creating your stitches with the plastic bauble nestled inside the knitted fabric.  For your safety, please do not use a glass ornament to create this project!

Techniques Used:
Crochet cast on
Small diameter knitting and purling in the round
4 stitch cables
Yarn over and knit front and back increases
Knit 2 together decreases
Stranded knitting

Materials Needed:
Yarn:
30-45 yards of light fingering weight yarn per cozy
Samples knit in Six and Seven Fiber’s Barley (single ply superwash merino)

Needles:
US 1 / 2.25 mm DPNs or 32” / 81 cm circular needle or size needed to achieve gauge

Notions and additional materials:
Removable stitch marker
Cable needle
Crochet hook
Tapestry needle
4 plastic ornaments, 2.25 to 2.63"/ 57 to 67 mm diameter

Finished Measurements:
Fits a 2.63" / 67 mm plastic ornament with negative ease.

Gauge: 17 sts and 24 rounds over 2”/ 5 cm in stockinette in the round.
