The Little Roots Forest Café
The Little Roots Forest Café
12-Page Hands-On Woodland Play Adventure • Ages 2–9 • $5
🌲🍓 The Forest Café is OPEN! 🐿️☕
Step into a tiny woodland café where the customers have paws, feathers, fluffy tails—and very different things on their menus!
The Little Roots Forest Café is a 12-page hands-on learning adventure that blends nature science, math, early literacy, outdoor exploration, fine-motor practice, and imaginative play.
Children aren't simply reading about woodland animals. They're becoming Café Keepers.
They'll learn what squirrels, rabbits, white-tailed deer, black bears, red foxes, and owls really eat before stocking their café pantry, sorting foods, preparing species-appropriate pretend meals, taking customer orders, creating menus, counting café supplies, completing challenges, and opening their very own Forest Café.
Inside you'll find:
🌲 Forest Café role badges + OPEN/CLOSED signs
🐿️ Six woodland animal customers
🌱 Herbivore, carnivore & omnivore learning
🍓 Cut-and-play Forest Café pantry foods
🧺 Plant-food and animal-food sorting
🍽️ “Who Eats What?” serving activity
📝 Create-your-own Forest Café menu
🐇 Woodland customer order cards
🔢 Little Roots + Growing Roots café math
🍂 Outdoor nature-gathering adventure
🌲 Eight reusable Forest Café challenge cards
🦊 Design and investigate a brand-new customer
🏅 Café Keeper Opening Day checklist + certificate
Designed for ages 2–9, with simpler matching, sorting, counting, and pretend play for younger learners and reading, math, classification, research, and menu creation for older learners.
And because Little Roots learning shouldn't always stay on the page, children are also invited outdoors to gather safe, fallen nature treasures and transform them into imaginary café supplies. 🍂
🌱 PRO TIP: Print Page 4 and Page 8 more than once so your café has plenty of food pieces to fill all those hungry woodland customers' orders! You can also laminate the pieces and challenge cards for longer-lasting, repeatable play. The Little Roots Forest Café
Print it. Cut it. Explore. Open the café. And PLAY.
