September Ink: Conker 25ml
I forage around where I live, welcoming seasonal growth and change as it happens, and turn into ink whatever I can't eat. This lovely brown, made from the conker husks that are abundantly dropping at the moment, is my first monthly offering, made in a very small batch of four bottles.
User notes:
This ink contains only conker husk extract, with its own saps as binder (the bottle also contains a clove as mould deterrent). It's suitable for use with any dipping instrument: bamboo/reed pens, metal nibs (provided they are rinsed after use), quill pens, watercolour brushes, but too thick for fountain pens.
Lifespan:
This type of ink has a good shelf life, though for safety I would say best before September 2026. To enjoy it at its best, I also recommend using it within a few months of its production date (September 2025).
