Sometimes, a gentle shift in perspective is all the mind needs to start seeing things differently.
This artwork began with a soft pastel background that initially suggested seashells, but I also saw abstract hills. It reminded me of how fluid perception can be.
At the heart of this piece is a key idea: when we stop asking, “What is this?” and instead begin asking, “What could this become?”, creativity flows more freely.
I added watercolour details, simple floral shapes, fine lines, and dots layer by layer. A touch of gold metallic paint and soft yellow accents brought warmth and a sense of movement to the piece. Doodling felt especially liberating. From something entirely unplanned, the painting began to develop its own character.
This piece serves as a reminder that creativity isn’t about perfection or skill level; it’s about giving ourselves permission to explore, respond, and stay curious. Even small creative acts can lead to new ways of thinking.
To finish, the artwork was placed into a soft, flowing scene using the Frameit app, enhancing its calm, reflective mood.
A gentle invitation to slow down, let go, and simply begin.
