The Hands He Still Used

He can repair the pantry shelves. Repairing the damage he caused will take more.

Three years ago, Ethan Warren falsely accused his church’s treasurer, Eva Powell, of stealing. The truth came out, but the suspicion lingered—and Ethan withdrew from the community he had wounded.

When a flood threatens the church food pantry, he returns to help. There are floors to mop, supplies to move, and shelves to rebuild. For the first time in years, he sees a chance to be useful.

But working beside Eva means facing what his apology could not fix. As old defensiveness and the desire for approval resurface, Ethan must decide whether he is there to serve—or to convince everyone that he deserves another chance.

The Hands He Still Used by Mia Bills is heartfelt Christian fiction about repentance, damaged trust, humility, and finding purpose after failure.

Can Ethan learn to do good without demanding that it erase the past?
