This version of the Fabulous Fifties Frame Bag is an update on the original pattern, and has several improvements:

Fabric Requirements (width x height):
Fabric A: 21” x 9”
Fabric B: 10" x 9”
Alternate Fabric A (using one fabric): 21" x 15”
Lining: 21” x 18"
Fusible Interfacing: 21” x 36”
Fusible Fleece: 19” x 11”
Stiffener: 18 x 5”
Bag base: 9" x 3 1/4"
Glass beads: approx. 90
1/2" D-rings: 2
Small lobster clasps (necklace clasps): 2
Large jump rings: 2
6" rectangular purse frame
Sundries needed:
hump jumper, fabric marker, point turner, small pliers
Optional extras:
¼” machine foot, fabric glue-stick or double-sided tape, sleeve roll, jump-ring opener

The Fabulous Fifties Frame Bag is a cute evening purse inspired by the 1950s. Those little bags were so elegant! This is an update inspired by the needs of today’s world:
- The interior is big enough to fit a large mobile phone and a bunch of keys
- The lining has a card pocket
- The base is removable so that the bag can be stored flat
- This is an ideal bag to take away on holiday, or to make for your bridesmaids
This version of the Fabulous Fifties Frame Bag is an update on the original pattern, and has several improvements:
- Full printable pieces for every piece
- New two part lining, for less bulk and a neater fit
- The size has been tweaked to fit a bigger range of 6” sew-in rectangle frames
- This version now uses fusible fleece instead of curtain interlining
- The instructions for sewing on the frame have been improved so that your stitching is concealed on the inside
