Material just at my level

I have been learning Italian on and off for some years, and had a boost when I spent the whole of March 2023 at the Università per Stranieri in Perugia, where I completed the first part of level B1. I want to return to Perugia next year if I can. In the meantime, I need some practice to keep it up, and this book by Serena and the audio reading, is just great for me. I also enjoy her email tips and will surely make more use of her material. So I highly recommend her venture.

I’ve bought three books now!

This is the third of Serena Capilli’s books that I’ve purchased and I’m really enjoying it. Why? First, the stories are interesting and have some unexpected plot twist, which is is a real change from so many instructional materials. But for me, the best part is that my wife and I can finally study together. Like many couples, our language is at different levels. With these stories, we can read to each other. She learns some new vocabulary and I get pronunciation and comprehension practice. It’s made studying a real pleasure.

Perfect for low-mid intermediate Italian learners

The storyline got me hooked straight away (I often find books for ‘learners’ are a bit silly and boring) so that was refreshing. There is a clever integration of USEFUL everyday vocabulary, tenses and phrases too. I felt that this was written for me. Love it - please write more 😀

Gioielli, Caffè e Firenze

I have just finished reading/listening to this book, and can say that it is well written for my level B1, and I found particularly useful the vocabolario e approfondimenti at the end of each chapter.
