La Phantacita March uses a compositional technique that I invented in the late 90's for a brass quintet composition. That piece was called Three Famous Soldiers and was performed at Rice University at David Kirk's faculty recital. I never applied this technique to smaller ensembles, especially not duets, because I thought it was impossible. 

Covid 19 convinced me otherwise. No, not because I got sick, but because nine months without a gig gave me a LOT of time to think about a LOT of stuff. This composition is one of those things that popped into my head as a result.
