Flip-a-Card Math : Grade 3

This pack is part of our Flip-a-Card Math series, with a special focus on Grade 3 arithmetic.

The idea of the Flip-a-Card Math packs is to use a pack of playing cards such as UNO, to revise mathematical concepts.

Flip one to three cards to make a one, two or three digit number, place it on the activity sheet and follow the instructions.

The pack includes activity sheets and record sheets to revise the following topics:

- Place value for 2 and 3 digit numbers

- 100 more, 100 less

- Number bonds to 100

- Rounding 2 digit numbers to the nearest 10

- Addition & Subtraction (+/- 2 digit numbers, +/- 10s, +/- near multiples of 10)

- Doubling & Halving 2 digit numbers

- Comparing number value using < and >.

A set of number cards featuring numbers 0 to 9 is also included, in case you do not have suitable playing cards. We recommend making 5-6 copies of this sheet (an standard UNO pack has 8 of each number).

Kindly note that skip counting by 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10, and multiplication are not included in this pack. Separate stand alone packs are available for these topics which crossover between Grades 2 and 4.
