CVC Words Reading Books/Workbooks Pack

The Reading Made Simple phonic reading scheme is a series of graded, structured reading books which accompany the Reading Made Simple phonic programme.

Here is the complete pack of the first set of Level 0 Reading Books - those with CVC words - in one Zip file. These are the first reading books in the RMS graded, structured, reading programme.

The pack contains 16 reading books and 5 matching workbooks, one for each vowel sound.

Help children to develop reading fluency the easy way!

These books gradually introduce words from each of the five vowel families, repeating them time and time again, helping children to gain reading fluency, while all the time keeping the choice of words purely to those that can be sounded out so that the child always has a safety net in the event of forgetting a word.

The stories are based on Tom the Farmer, his son Sam, and daughter Pam and their dog Jiff. Meet the animals on the farm!

Suitable for most children, however, if your child has dyslexia or another processing difficulty, or if you find that these are not structured enough, then wait until you have completed the five vowel lessons at the end of Level 0 (after consonant blends have been taught), as we have another very structured reading programme just for these children. These more structured spreading books are also included in the Special needs activity packs for these lessons.
