Seraphina the Sea Serpent is a big amigurumi dragon that has a mermaid tail, sea serpent ears, and large wings. She’s a whopping 26” long plush made using bulky chenille velvet yarn. This darling and huggable fantasy creature will surely bring joy and give the best snuggles! Seraphina is designed using super bulky weight 6 yarn, and is ideal to make with chenille velvet yarn, blanket yarn, or other types of plush yarn for a large and soft toy. The pattern includes a full written pattern and over 50 photo references to guide you through the doll making process.

MATERIALS

Bulky weight 5 chenille velvet yarn in two colors (I used Posh Twist yarn in the colors Strawberry Glow & Strawberry Shortcake)

5mm crochet hook

7mm crochet hook (for only the wings)

14mm plastic safety eyes (x2)

Fiberfill stuffing

Yarn needle

Scissors

STITCHES USED (US TERMS)

FO = fasten off

YO = yarn over

ch = chain

sl st = slip stitch

sc = single crochet

hdc = half double crochet

dc = double crochet

inc = increase (insert 2 sc in the same st)

dc-inc = insert 2 dc in the same st

dec = decrease (sc 2 sts together)

BLO = back loops only

MC = main color yarn

CC = contrast color yarn
