Bandsaw Box Patterns PDF 1 to 1 Scale The 70-30 Split Low Profile Console Dual Drawer Woodworking Template Stuff That Works
DESIGN #14: THE 70/30 SPLIT (LOW-PROFILE HORIZONTAL CONSOLE)
Architectural Woodworking Blueprint & 1:1 Scale Cutting Template
Designed & Drafted by L. Wooten | Stuff That Works (Waycross, GA)
Build a striking mid-century low-profile horizontal console featuring an asymmetrical dual-drawer layout. Unlike traditional upright jewelry boxes, Design #14 uses a 7.00" wide by 3.50" high console footprint inspired by 1970s audio equipment and classic desk valets.
The face is divided into an asymmetrical 70/30 split:
• 70% Major Drawer (Left): A wide 3.75" W x 2.15" H horizontal valet tray designed for watches, pens, pocket knives, or keepsakes (ideal for black velvet or flocking).
• 30% Minor Drawer (Right): A compact 1.95" W x 2.15" H valet tray for rings and cufflinks.
• Discrete 45° base kerf entry cuts that disappear under bottom grain when glued shut.
