Blank Card - Dex

Dex, the Jack Russell Terrier who features throughout The Marina Witches Mysteries series, arrived in this world with two firm convictions. He is ferocious, and blueberry muffins are a food group.

He’s also Frankie's familiar, a role he mostly takes seriously. He chats telepathically with every magical being he meets, which sounds like a gift until you realize he tells all of them everything he knows. Every. Single. Thing.

Dex has an attack pose. It’s famous, or infamous, depending on which side you’re on. It is also, by universal agreement, adorable. He doesn’t take this well. He has bared his teeth at sirens, demons, and assorted villains. None of them were scared. He bites anyway.

He loves a nap. He loves a muffin so much he will sniff one out at thirty paces, and then act surprised when the diet biscuits come out. He says they taste like sawdust, although he suspects sawdust, at least, has more flavor.

He considers himself a prince. He’ll follow Frankie into danger without hesitation. He is fifteen pounds of pure chaos dressed up as a good boy, and without question the best familiar in the marina.
