In 2005, Martin left Košice, Slovakia, and travelled to Iceland for eight months as a European volunteer.

This is the story of his adventure – from his first flight and arrival in Keflavík to everyday life in Reykjavík and months spent working in the beautiful Heiðmörk nature reserve.

Along the way, he met people from different countries, experienced Icelandic nature and culture, worked in forests and workcamps, and collected countless unforgettable moments and funny stories.
