Make yourself your own little neighborhood with this pattern from Elizabeth Eastmond of OPQuilt.com. The version shown uses a variety of scraps for her houses, but you could also make this up in a holiday version. There are two versions: an 18-inch and a 26-inch. Some sewing skills are good to know, but the pattern is well-written with lots of photos and clear, concise instructions.
(Note: The wreath version shown is a possible variation, but directions for the alternate borders are not in the pattern.)
The Sunflower Block here is a variation of the Home, Sweet Home block. The other Sunflower Block, in my PatternLite Pattern, has a version that eliminates seams and streamlines constuction and cutting.
