Matter Mayhem

Matter Mayhem is an interactive science escape room where students take on the role of an elite Aura Science Agent deployed to repair six malfunctioning sectors of a top-secret facility across a cinematic mission. Students work through the Matter Containment sector, the Thermal Laboratory, the Particle Research Bay, the Convection Core, the Research Wing, and the Escape Launch Chamber — solving science puzzles at each sector to stabilise systems and escape. Activities across the mission include particle simulations, drag-and-drop sorting, true or false challenges, multiple choice questions, insulation building, timed speed rounds, a particle gauntlet, fair testing investigations, graph interpretation, and a final particle arcade challenge. Through the mission, students build understanding of states of matter, particle behaviour, changes of state, heat transfer, conductors and insulators, and fair testing with variables, earning XP and tracking their rank from Junior Science Agent to Elite Science Master.

All Aura Learning Studio resources are interactive, no-prep HTML learning games designed for easy classroom use. Each game includes voice-over support for questions and answer options, voice choice settings, read-aloud controls, feedback throughout the activity, student-friendly navigation, and options to print or save results as a PDF where included.
