KE-LU: A Diary of the First Days

Ke-Lu has known only the cave his entire life.

Its walls. Its shadows. Its rules.

He has never seen the sky. He has never felt the wind. He does not know what a tree is, what a river is, or why the sun hurts his eyes.

Then the mountain moves.

For the first time in his life, Ke-Lu leaves the cave and enters a world he does not understand at all. Everything is new. Everything may be dangerous. And everything has to be named, understood, and sometimes tested to see whether it can be eaten.

At his side walks Ma-Mu, a strange hairy companion who deals with most important questions by chewing.

KE-LU is a darkly humorous diary of discovering the world from the very beginning: a story about fear, curiosity, ingenuity, and the first questions that eventually lead to the biggest one:

What if the world is not what we have believed it to be all our lives?
