Black and Brown women are disproportionately affected by various health issues including hormonal imbalances and obesity. My priority is to help improve these issues within our communities for optimal health and vitality.

No population in the United States has a higher obesity rate than African American women. Black and Hispanic women face higher rates of obesity, with nearly 57% of Black women and 45% of Hispanic women being obese compared to 38% of white women. Obesity increases the risk of chronic illnesses including heart disease. Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women in the US, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year. Black and Hispanic women are leading and disproportionately affected, with nearly 59% of Black women and 43% of Hispanic women having heart disease compared to 32% of white women.

Hormonal issues also disproportionately affect black and brown women due to our genetics, cultural influences, and access to healthcare. This often leads to higher rates of conditions like PCOS and menopause symptoms within our community. By addressing the body as a whole, holistic nutrition can help improve heart health, balance hormones, and support weight loss naturally, contributing to better overall health outcomes for Black and Brown women.
