PheRISE: My Amazing Different Brain Child Journal

PheRISE: My Amazing, Different Brain is a colourful and inclusive children’s journal designed to help children aged 7–12 understand their feelings, senses, strengths and support needs.

Created for children with ADHD, autism, sensory differences, anxiety, communication difficulties and other additional needs, this journal gives every child a safe and encouraging space to express themselves.

Through child-friendly activities and thoughtful prompts, children can:

• Recognise and name their emotions

• Explore their sensory likes and dislikes

• Understand what makes them feel calm or overwhelmed

• Discover their individual strengths

• Communicate when and how they need support

• Build confidence and celebrate their differences

• Identify the people and strategies that help them

This journal encourages meaningful conversations between children, parents, carers, teachers and support professionals. It helps children understand that their brain is not wrong or broken—it is wonderfully different.
