I’m Lisa Birkett, a mother, author and the founder of PheNature.

PheNature was created in loving memory of my son, Phoenix, whose bright spirit, courage and wonderfully different way of seeing the world continue to inspire everything I do.

Through children’s stories, journals, workbooks and educational resources, I aim to help children, teenagers and families better understand neurodiversity, manage difficult emotions, build confidence and feel less alone. I also create compassionate resources for bereaved parents, shaped by my own experience of learning to live forward while carrying the love of my son.

Every PheNature resource is created with honesty, understanding and hope. My aim is to turn personal experience into something meaningful that can support other families through life’s most difficult moments.

Phoenix remains at the heart of this journey—his life, his personality and the lessons he taught me continue to rise through every page.
