Nexuiz

Nexuiz is a fast paced 3D deathmatch video game for Windows and Mac OS X. This first person shooter includes thirteen weapons, 24 official maps and over 240 community created maps, as well as 15 player models.

Gameplay

The gameplay is deathmatch with the most excessive possible speeds and weapons, giving incredibly intense fast paced action. Along with deathmatch, there are multiple gamemodes such as team deathmatch, capture the flag, domination, and many mutators and weapon options like rocket arena and instagib. The user can fight through the single player campaign, going through over 20 levels or play online through the Nexuiz server browser.

Multiplayer

Nexuiz is primarily a multiplayer game but it does include a full single-player campaign. This allows you to play through the various multiplayer game types and maps with bots, and allows for hosting and joining of games.

Graphics

Nexuiz is based on the darkplaces engine. The darkplaces engine is an advanced Quake1 based engine. The graphics in Nexuiz use coronas, the bloom shader effect, realtime world and dynamic lighting and shadowing, shaders, offset mapping, and high dynamic range rendering.
