Jacob and says, 'Go back to the land of your fathers... I will be with you.' Jacob calls Rachel and Leah into the

field to get their agreement, and they readily agree that their father has treated them like foreigners. While

Laban is away at a sheep-shearing festival, Jacob packs up his wives, 11 children, and massive flocks, and

makes a secret, desperate break for Canaan! Before they leave, Rachel secretly steals her father's household

idols (teraphim). Today, we will explore the logistics of a secret escape, reading non-verbal communication,
