Not all of us have the luxury of years or decades of martial arts, military or self-defense training to fall back on in case we find ourselves in a position where we need to defend ourselves. You must remember that you are not weak or helpless - you are not a victim.
The best thing you can do is to learn how to get into the proper mindset for defending yourself as well as the proper ways to strike, where to strike, and understand the concepts that are presented in my book, Self-Defense Survival Guide to give yourself a fighting chance. It is imperative that you think of yourself as capable of surviving!
However, even after studying and practicing various self-defense techniques, you still may not feel confident in your ability to defend yourself or your family. That's OK, because there are alternatives to unarmed self-defense and hand-to-hand combat that you can use to increase your chances of surviving a deadly encounter. You will prevail!
The next best thing is to even the odds with some items that you should carry with you. You don't need to carry all of these items all the time, but you could carry at least one or two of them with you at all times. Many women have lots of items with them already!
This guide contains information on over 30 different items that you can carry with you for self-defense.
