Hide & Seek – Watercolour for Healing the Lonely Self- A Watercolour from My Soul’s Whisper

This painting began as a quiet afternoon with brush in hand — but as the colours deepened, she arrived. Not imagined, but felt. My Soul was speaking, and she came through onto the paper.

She sits on an unseen edge, turned away, her red-pink dress spilling softly around her. The cloudlike light almost swallows her form, as if she could dissolve into air or water at any moment. She waits. Or hides. Tears, invisible yet certain, carry the weight of an enormous loneliness.

She was me once. I knew her well. I no longer carry her with me, though I could call her back. But I don’t.

Hide & Seek is my conversation with a part of myself that has been both lost and set free.
