The Kiki Kitty Pouch is a quick and easy no-sew crochet bag. It can be worn as a necklace or a crossbody purse. This crochet pattern features big round paws, dangly arms and legs, and a set of cute cat ears. This animal bag is the perfect birthday gift or Christmas holiday gift for cat lovers who have a penchant for kawaii or whimsical styles. It is designed using super bulky weight 6 plush yarn, which results in a very soft and velvety texture. Chenille velvet yarn and blanket yarn are good choices for this project.

The PDF pattern includes in-line progress photos as part of a photo tutorial to help guide you through the crochet process.

MATERIALS

Super bulky weight 6 chenille velvet yarn in grey and white (I used Hobbii Toucan yarn)

5mm crochet hook

12mm plastic safety eyes (x2) or buttons

Thin black yarn

Yarn needle

Stuffing

Scissors

Optional: cloth for lining the interior

ch = chain

sl st = slip stitch

sc = single crochet

inc = increase (insert 2 sc in same st)

dec = decrease (sc 2 sts together)

hdc = half double crochet

dc = double crochet
