The Star Bear is an easy, no-sew amigurumi pattern that takes less than 25 minutes to make from start to finish! This quick bear doll resembles the shape of a chubby star (or perhaps a potato with stubby limbs). It is designed with bulky plush chenille velvet yarn but can be made with thinner yarns for a smaller result. Its small size is perfect for a keychain charm or as a craft fair claw machine product. You can make these mini bears as birthday presents, party favors, Valentine’s Day class gifts, and stocking stuffers too!

The PDF pattern includes a link to the video tutorial as well as photo references to guide beginners through the project. Included is also a set of printable gift tags as well as a bear-themed adoption certificate.

MATERIALS

Bulky weight 5 yarn in desired color (I used 14 yards/42 feet of LBY Posh Twist)

5mm crochet hook

6mm black safety eyes

Small scrap of white felt for muzzle

Thread for embroidering the nose/mouth

Sewing needle

Stuffing

Scissors

MR = magic ring

FO = fasten off

YO = yarn over

ch = chain

sc = single crochet

inc = increase (insert 2 sc in same st)

dec = decrease (sc 2 sts together)
