Underpass Shawl - Knitting Pattern PDF

UNDERPASS SHAWL

My Underpass Shawl is inspired by decorative brick work I noticed on a drive up the M1 from London when the road went down into an underpass to cross another and the increasing zig zag detailing that bounced back and forth within the increasing and decreasing walls.

I knitted the sample for my Underpass Shawl whilst travelling at the end of last year, it the prefect project for picking up and putting down, something that doesn’t require too much attention, with just one travelling cable over garter stitch and super simple shaping it’s a very methodical knit, but the outcome is bold and striking.

It’s such an easy to wear, timeless shawl that goes with everything. It’s simple enough not to overpower an outfit but striking enough to catch the eye with its jagged geometric lines and shape.
