Vintage inspired Crochet Easter Egg Pattern: Rustic Ornament (PDF Download)

This vintage inspired crochet Easter Egg pattern includes two sizes of crochet Easter eggs, measuring 9cm and 11cm tall. They will add a pretty rustic touch to your farmhouse décor every spring. They would also make adorable Easter gifts. If you like to decorate your home to celebrate the seasons, this crochet Easter egg pattern is for you. The hanging loop could be omitted if you wished to just have them as Easter ornaments rather than Easter tree decorations.

Difficulty level: This Easter egg crochet pattern is written with the advanced beginner crocheter in mind. It uses simple stitches, mostly UK dc and htr (US sc and hdc) with some slip stitches too.

Yarn: Cotton blend DK (acrylic is also suitable)

Hook(s): 2.5mm, 3 mm

The pattern includes full instructions for how to customize your crochet Easter eggs – crochet patterns are included for the bunny and daffodil motifs, but the centre panel of each egg provides a blank canvas for you to add your own easter images in crochet or embroidery. It is inspired by the vintage cardboard eggs of my childhood, which were always beautifully decorated with pictures of flowers and bunnies.
