About Me
I live in Lincolnshire, England with my husband and two children. I also have a lifelong love of craft, from papercrafts to yarn and all sorts in between. I love nothing more than relaxing with my crochet and a cuppa with my family.
Before becoming a crochet designer in 2021, I was a primary school teacher. When I was made redundant, I seized the opportunity to follow my dreams and start designing. You only live once, something I’m acutely aware of having been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2019. (Thankfully I am in remission now though.)
I’m passionate about helping other people to learn and that is one of the reasons I write my patterns the way I do. I believe that crochet should be enjoyable, and having well written patterns that are easy to follow is central to this. I always consider the parts that might be challenging and add photos, videos and other instructions to make sure that you, the crocheter, can make my design to the best of your ability. I also carry these skills through to my tech editing work, where I work with other crochet designers to polish their patterns ready for publishing. In 2025, I also began working for Crochet Now magazine as a technical editor.
I also began teaching crochet in 2024, something which brings me a great deal of joy.
When I’m not crocheting, you’ll find me either cheering on my son’s football team from the sidelines (wearing crochet of course!), gardening or doing DIY on the 1700s farm cottage which we moved into in early 2023. I’m never bored!
