Good morning All!
I have a special request today! Please set aside a coffee break, lunch break or dinner break to watch this video presentation. Watch it with co-workers or friends, or watch it tonight with family. Bring in this Spring season, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Juneteenth, with a refreshed perspective, a new sense of self and place. Contemporary has its place; but there's something about the old hymns, spirituals and songs of faith that are timeless. "Sometimes I Feel Like A Motherless Child" "Over My Head" "Were You There" "Calvary" "Battle Hymn of the Republic" and more songs you'll remember and most of you sang at least one or two of them when you were youngsters.
I don't ask much; and truth be told… it's not ME asking. IJS!!! This is not a sales pitch, there's nothing to buy; leave your credit card in your wallet but watch this one 20 minute video if at all possible.
If a few tears fall and a knot forms in the pit of your stomach it's okay... it's just your sane, conscious self - spirit - taking a drink after being thirsty for so long.
I don't know about you but your celebrity house-wives, singers, preachers, lawyers, politicians, athletes, whatever leave me wanting. I'm hungry for the simple basic truths that have carried me this far. "How I got over… my soul looks back and wonders… how I got over." Amen!
