The effect of instructional materials on the scholastic execution of students in grade schools.
ABSTRACT
Instructional resources in contemporary education has the potentials to accelerate, enrich, and deepen skills, and provide opportunities for concentration on the lesson and arouse the interest of learners by enabling them to actively participate in the lesson. It has been observed that since the introduction of electronic instructional resources in teaching and learning processes, Social Studies Education is yet to comply adequately with this trend of teaching, this is due to the fact that most of teachers and students are not computer literate. Even in cases where the teachers are literate, they find it challenging to alter the traditional techniques of teaching in favour of using instructional resources. Basically, the thrust of this experiment centred on the impact of instructional resources on the academic performance of. Thus, the questionnaire was adopted for the study and a sample of 100 was selected through the simple random sampling.
