Open Road Hat Knitting Pattern

The Open Road hat was designed as an easy to wear, cozy hat to have as a staple in your wardrobe. The slipped stitch ribbed panel gives the hat interest while helping it do that important thing - stretch to fit many head sizes.

I’ve given instructions to make this a more fitted beanie or a slouchy version. There’s also a note on how to customize the length to fit what you prefer.

For both of my samples, I used Suburban Stitcher Merino DK.
Slouchy sample used approx. 170 yards in the Gothic color.
Beanie sample used approx. 140 yards in the Ballard color.

To make the 2-color version, see my mods on my blog.
