Woven Illusion Cowl
Is it weaving or is it an illusion? This dense and cuddly cowl keeps out the cold and is tall enough to cover your ears.
Hand knitted in two colours, you are working in the round using knit and purl. If you've done stranded colour work before, you'll find this method a breeze. If not, I've included a comprehensive guide on how to wrangle your wool.
The Woven Illusion Cowl is a lovely, quick project featuring a unique woven effect based on a vintage idea. It doesn't use much yarn so is a wonderful stash buster.
Choose two high contrast colours. The MC (Main Colour) is used to create the bold lines (in the sample, this is teal). The CC (Contrast Colour) makes the grid which can create a design all by itself (this is the cream tweed). You can add some fun using one hand dyed skein matched to a plain, solid colour or experiment with tweed yarns and slow graduated colour changes.
