This collection presents carefully re-engraved, performance-ready editions of some of the most beloved tangos in the repertoire — from Troilo's Sur and A Homero to Cobián's Nostalgias and Gardel's Volver.

What makes these editions different:

These aren't straight transcriptions. While they follow the outline of Arias's acclaimed arrangements, each piece has been revoiced and enhanced with a more harmonically expressive approach drawing from jazz and Brazilian guitar traditions. Basic dominant 7th chords are reinterpreted as 7♭9 voicings with the flat 9 in the bass for a fuller sound. Simple minor chords are voiced as minor 6. Thin textures are filled out with inner voices and bass movement. Strummed chords are sometimes replaced with fingered block chords for a more melodic flow. Chord voicings are adapted throughout for improved playability. The result is a set of editions that stay true to the lyrical character of Arias's style while offering a richer harmonic palette — ideal for guitarists who want something beyond the basic transcriptions available elsewhere.
