Ebrahim Golestan — Hunting the Shadow (Shekar-e Sayeh): Four stories · Persian and English, paragraph by paragraph

Ebrahim Golestan (1922–2023), writer and filmmaker, was one of the makers of modern Persian prose. Hunting the Shadow (Shekar-e Sayeh), his second collection, appeared in Tehran in 1955. Its four stories, written between 1949 and 1952, are spare, inward and unsettling: lovers, a porter lost in the noon heat, workmen and lonely men, each chasing something that slips away like a shadow on the ground. This edition prints every Persian paragraph with its English translation beneath it.

ابراهیم گلستان (۱۳۰۱–۱۴۰۲)، نویسنده و فیلمساز، از سازندگان نثر نوین فارسی است. «شکار سایه» دومین مجموعهٔ داستان او، نخستین بار در سال ۱۳۳۴ در تهران چاپ شد. در این ویرایش، هر بند فارسی همراه با ترجمهٔ انگلیسی‌اش آمده است.
