After her victory over Tama White Lightning, and making friends with her afterwards, Hinata receives a headband with feathers from Tama. Another girl joins the group doubting that Hinata deserves this honor. Before a fight can break out Hinata has to leave with her mother Chooli Crest. A few months after celebrating her 13th birthday Hinata is chatting online with her friend Tama who invites her to a fistfight tournament which is being held for teens. Hinata accepts the invitation, and she drives to Albuquerque together with Chooli. It is the round of sixteen, and Hinata's first opponent is Jade Running Bear, the 15 year old girl who had said that Hinata does not deserve the feathers.
