Welder Qualification & WPS Register (AS/NZS 1554, AU) - Excel & Google Sheets
Know which welders are qualified to which WPS, and what's due before an auditor or client asks.
What's inside
Welders: your crew list with ID, stamp/mark and Active Y/N. Each row shows how many quals are overdue or due soon.
WPS List: every procedure with process, positions, material, thickness range, consumable class and joint type.
Qualification Matrix: one row per welder × WPS. Works out the next 6-month confirmation date, the revalidation date, days left and a red / amber / green status.
Consumable Batch Log: wire, rods and flux by batch/heat no., cert held Y/N, storage and the jobs it went on. Flags missing certs.
Confirmation of Validity form: pick a welder and WPS, the details fill in, print one A4 page and sign.
Settings: change the confirmation and revalidation intervals and the warning days to suit your shop or client spec.
BLANK + EXAMPLE files, an Instructions tab and a 1-page PDF quick-start guide.
Good to know
Excel and Google Sheets. No macros, works offline.
30 welders, 50 WPS, 200 matrix rows, 200 consumable batches.
It's a spreadsheet, so it doesn't send reminders.
A record-keeping aid only. It doesn't replace AS/NZS 1554, your client's spec or a qualified welding inspector or coordinator, and it doesn't reproduce any text from the Standard.
