The Knot in the Clouds

The dream felt like a warning. But what if fear was filling in the answers?

From an unfamiliar mountaintop, Martha watches enormous hands emerge from the clouds, gripping a knotted strip of cloth. Beneath them, a storm sweeps across the eastern United States—and entire cities go dark.

Then she wakes.

The images linger, along with one frightening thought: her father lives near the coast. Has she seen something she needs to warn him about, or is she searching for meaning in a dream she cannot explain?

As Martha studies news reports and seeks guidance from a trusted friend and her pastor, ordinary events begin to look like signs. Protecting the people she loves feels urgent. Knowing what to believe proves far harder.

The Knot in the Clouds by Mia Bills is thought-provoking Christian fiction about spiritual discernment, uncertainty, and learning to trust God without letting fear govern your life.

Can she respond faithfully without knowing what the dream means?
