PopStars

PopStars is a course for foreign students of English at an intermediate level. It is perfect for students who have completed the Star Taxi course and wish to further improve their speaking and listening ability. It is a lively and interesting New York story told in twenty scenes of dialogue which the teacher stages and the students memorize and perform.

PopStars is an upscale New York hair salon that caters to stars in the music and movie business.  Senior stylist, Jay, befriends Nobu, newly arrived from Japan and dreaming of making it in the movie business.  Jay offers him a job.  Nobu falls in love with Janet, a young singer on the nightclub circuit who also wants to help him.  Will he make it?  Or will the Immigration authorities get him first?
