Use some simple piecing to make these gorgeous super-sized Blossom blocks, then machine quilt each one individually before joining them together using a quilt-as-you-go technique - my full colour, easy-to-follow instructions will take you through every step.

Skill level: Intermediate

Finished size: Approx. 54" square

You will need:

• Eight 50cm x wof (width of fabric) in co-ordinating fabrics

• 1.4m of background fabric

• 60cm of a solid or blender for the front sashing strips and binding

• Disappearing fabric marker, which you can purchase here

• Nine fat quarters for backing fabric - I used three fat quarters of Linen Texture Pale Pink, Red and Shamrock, or you could used 2.5m of one fabric cut down.

• Nine 20" squares of wadding (155cm x 90" wadding, or 1.05m of 120" wadding)

• 35cm of a co-ordinating solid or blender for the back joining strips

• Quilter's masking tape if you wish to do some straight-line quilting

IMPORTANT: This pattern assumes the reader has the knowledge to baste, quilt and bind the runner. However for those of you new to quilting I have added some tutorials on this on my website in the Beginner's Quilt Section.

Make sure to read the whole pattern all the way through before beginning your project.
