Cross My Heart Quilt Pattern

This finished quilt measures approx. 52" x 63" (130cm x 160cm) and is based on five inch squares. As this quilt was for my 18-year-old nephew, I chose five solids and an orange print in my own version, but this design would look great in so many different colourways. Just bear in mind that for the crosses to stand out from each other, you should choose fabrics that are different in tonal value. If they are too similar, the design will become lost.

The speedy chain-piecing method explained in the instructions means you could have this quilt done in a weekend, great for a last-minute gift or a retreat project.

To make this quilt you will need:

• 40cm of five constrasting fabrics
• 90cm of a sixth contrasting fabric which will also be used in the borders.
• 40cm of a co-ordinating fabric for the binding
• 56" x 67" backing and wadding
