RAMS-16 Hot Works - Welding, Cutting and Torch-On - Risk Assessment and Method Statement, Worked Example (Word, UK, 2026)
A complete, paired risk assessment and method statement for Hot Works - Welding, Cutting and Torch-On, written as a full worked example on a real-looking UK project, the way a principal contractor's reviewer expects to receive it.
Not a blank form. Every hazard row and every step of the sequence is filled in for a named task, with plant, quantities, named roles and the hold points a reviewer looks for. You edit the specifics for your job; the structure, the control hierarchy and the standards table are already right.
Risk assessment (RAMS-16-RA): 10 hazards, each with who is at risk and how, existing controls, likelihood and severity on a 5 × 5 matrix before and after additional controls, the hierarchy of control from MHSWR Schedule 1, PPE beyond site minimum, emergency arrangements and a review record. Hazards covered include:
- Fire - sparks, spatter and hot slag falling through the deck onto stored materials, nets, timber, packaging; ignition after the crew leaves
