The Foraminosa Shawl is a triangular colorblock shawl in a simple, staggered eyelet lace pattern using fingering/sock yarn in two eyepopping colors.

The Foraminosa Shawl is knit top down starting with a body of smooth stockinette eyelets and abruptly transitions into squishy garter stitch eyelets in a contrast color. The symmetrical, shallow triangle shape is achieved by adding yarn over increases on every row, and it’s finished with a stretchy but simple bind off.

Choose two super saturated, highly contrasting colors for a shawl that punches you right in the face, or tone it down with a more muted color palette. Either way, your Foraminosa Shawl cannot be ignored and will snag everyone’s attention!

Fun fact: "foraminosa" means "full of holes" in Latin!

NOTE This pattern has been fully tested and professionally tech edited twice for accuracy and clarity. US knitting terminology is used throughout.
