This shawl is an asymmetrical, elongated triangle that grows from one point toward the opposite side. It begins with just a few stitches and as it grows, it forms a wide cable and lace border, later adding on a stockinette body along the top. This pattern will look great in solid or semi-solid colors.

The twisting cables and lace in the border of this shawl are embellished with sparkling beads. The pattern itself is easy to memorize; the zigzags in the lace are created naturally through the bias of the decrease stitches.

The length of the shawl may be increased or decreased by adding or subtracting repeats of the pattern in order to use up the entire skein of yarn.

Gauge is not critical for this pattern, but using a different yarn weight or needle size will affect the size of the finished shawl and the amount of yarn and beads required.
