1 x Knitting pattern for Something For The Holidays

Who doesn't love a large scarf that can be thrown dramatically around the shoulders or effortlessly wrapped around the neck in the sure knowledge that it'll be warm and stunning? Who also gets a little put off by the slow progress that usually accompanies big shawls knitted in anything less than chunky yarn?

Something For The Holidays has all the drama, but none of the slow progress! Using four complementary triangular designs, these are arranged and joined to allow the eyelet motif to flow throughout the shawl. The straight central sections give you the base to drape around the shoulders and neck with the two end sections forming an asymmetric detail that adds to the shawl's dramatic appeal. You may also want to get out your brooches and shawl cuffs so that you can style the shawl however you like!

This construction allows you to create at your own pace whilst keeping you on your toes. You have four individual designs that you can knit it in a week or over several months, but like all the designs in my Something For The Weekend Collection, each section captures the feel a weekend perfectly and you'll always find yourself eager to start the next one! Being sectional also provides you with versatility over your colour choices. You can choose bold individual colours, subtle fades or even a single colour and know that the flow of the overall design will always be maintained.

As with all my designs, this shawl is suitable for knitters of all abilities. It's ideal for beginners looking for a project with a slight challenge, and is a fun, rhythmic pattern that will keep seasoned knitter's entertained.
